We are overflowing with gratitude to everyone who attended Songs for Senderos on April 5 at White Horse Black Mountain! Thanks to your incredible support — through ticket sales, donations, raffle entries, and purchases of handmade Guatemalan goods — we raised an amazing $22,232, including $6,000 in matching funds from a generous anonymous donor.
We had set an ambitious goal of $20,000, and thanks to you, we exceeded it by more than $2,000! Your generosity continues to inspire and strengthen the Senderos community — thank you for being part of this extraordinary effort.
The evening was unforgettable. Songs for Senderos featured stunning performances by Kat Williams, joined by Chris Rosser, David Wilcox, and David LaMotte, plus delicious food from our friends at Little Guatemala. The atmosphere was electric, and it was beautiful to see the White Horse filled to standing-room-only capacity.
A special thanks to our event sponsors — Aiton Anderson Architecture, Al and Jamye Davis, Rod and Cyndy Douglas, Ken and Kathy Phillips, and the LaMotte family — and to our concert partners, Little Guatemala and White Horse. We couldn’t have done it without you!
If you weren’t able to attend but would still like to support Senderos, we warmly welcome your donation. Every gift makes a real difference.
And if you’d like to see that difference firsthand, we invite you to join us in Guatemala this summer! Our next trip is July 20–30, and we have room for one or two more participants. If you’re interested, here’s where you can find more trip information.
Thank you, friends, for your care, your compassion, and your belief in this work. We are so grateful to walk this path together.
Mil gracias,
David, Deanna, Sarah, and the whole Senderos Team
