Since 2004, Senderos has connected extraordinary local leaders in Guatemala with the resources they need to give kids music, mentoring, and a good education in their own communities.

Senderos is largely volunteer-run in the US, so we keep our administrative costs very low. Unless you tell us otherwise, 100% of your donation goes directly to projects in Guatemala. If you’d like part of your gift to help with administration, just let us know. It’s entirely up to you.

    Help us launch this initiative with a commitment of $5,000 to $11,000/year. There are various classrooms at the Escuelita David LaMotte, as well as music classes en El Tejar, or a grade level of BrillaGuate students.

    Transferring securities or stocks directly to Senderos’ brokerage account is a quick and easy way to make a tax-exempt donation. Email us for details.

    A Qualified Charitable Distribution from your retirement account can bring tax advantages. QCDs can be made from various types of IRAs, but not directly from a 401(k) plan.

Questions donors ask

Is my gift tax-deductible?

Yes. Senderos is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, incorporated in 2004 as PEG Partners, Inc. (Tax ID 03-0549950). You’ll get an emailed receipt right away.

Can I choose a specific project?

If you have a project in mind, write it in the note on the payment page. Some projects are already fully funded and some needs shift over time, but we will try to satisfy your request and will be in touch with you if we can’t.

How do I change or cancel a monthly gift?

Use the “Update or cancel your gift” link on this page. Enter your email, and Stripe sends you a secure link to update your card or cancel. Or email us and we’ll take care of it.

Why do you let me choose about administration?

Senderos is almost entirely volunteer-run, with one part-time employee, so we keep costs very low. On the payment page, you can direct your gift to programs, to administration, or to where it’s needed most, which lets us decide how to divide it. For a split, say so in the note. If you leave the choice as it is, all of it goes to programs.

Is my card information safe?

You give on Stripe’s secure checkout page, not on our website. Senderos never sees or stores your card number.
